Job Description
The Service Coordinator, reporting to the Service Manager, is responsible for supporting customers and ensuring productivity by coordinating and administrating systems, processes, resources, and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Administrative Support:
Offer administrative support to the (country) business regarding service operations.
Engineer Coordination:
Coordinate engineers for regular maintenance of on-site machines and respond to machine breakdowns in the field.
Ensure timely attendance for breakdowns and servicing by liaising with Field Service Engineers.
Breakdown Management:
Ensure prompt attendance to breakdowns by service staff and flag issues to the Service Manager.
Schedule and ensure timely completion of 3rd Party statutory fleet inspections.
Documentation and Reporting:
Complete servicing and technical bulletins on time for all equipment.
Create and maintain access tracker logs, central service files, examination logs, and breakdown records.
Prepare monthly and one-off reports, including daily/weekly breakdown-service and 3rd party reports.
Maintain accurate paperwork, including engineer’s reports and service sheets.
Customer Liaison:
Act as a point of contact for customers, answering queries, and providing regular updates on repair progress.
Coordinate site access passes with customers/site personnel.
Vehicle and Equipment Management:
Ensure all service vehicles meet TechX standards and conduct monthly spot checks.
Allocate work to field/workshop engineers.
Communication:
Communicate with customers about repairs and promptly inform them of any operator errors or damages to the machines.
Additional Duties:
Perform any other duties deemed necessary to fulfill the role.
Skills:
Essential:
Fluent in spoken, written, and reading English.
Customer service-oriented.
Strong operational organizational skills, with the ability to multitask.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to work.
Desirable:
Previous coordination experience in a service environment or construction/Oil and Gas sectors.
Engineering-related qualification.
Industry experience within access platforms, plant hire, construction, or Oil and Gas sectors.
