Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize the integrated system process to ensure work is carried out to the required standard with minimal risk to personnel, machinery, and materials while complying with safety and environmental standards.

  • Coordinate with all departments related to integrated system operations during the shift, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

  • Understand and implement the permit-to-work system, issuing and canceling permits as authorized.

  • Coordinate activities involving RO CCR Operators, plant operators, chemists, power dispatching, maintenance departments, planning, and production plants to ensure smooth operations.

  • Direct power grid and water systems operation to achieve targeted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and minimize operating costs.

  • Follow operational schedules to meet planned availability and production targets safely and efficiently.

  • Supervise interlock checks, start-up procedures, protection tests, and non-routine activities.

  • Monitor the overall status of the integrated system, summarize activities in the log book, and prepare daily and monthly reports.

  • Assist in training new personnel and evaluate their performance during shifts.

  • Study and suggest modifications to improve plant efficiency, recording suggestions in the system.

  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Management system principles and applicable legal requirements.

  • Conduct hazard risk assessments, aspect-impact assessments, and spillage containment procedures.

  • Manage HSE emergencies and waste disposal, including emission monitoring.

  • Should be well-versed in Power/Desalination/RO Operational activities.

  • Possesses decision-making, teamwork, analytical, critical thinking, and people management skills.

Skills

  • Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment Management system principles.

  • Knowledge of applicable legal requirements.

  • Hazard Risk assessment and Aspect Impact assessment.

  • Investigating skills and spillage containment knowledge.

  • Management of HSE emergencies and waste disposal.

  • Emission Monitoring knowledge.

  • Well-versed in Power/Desalination/RO Operational activities.

  • Decision-making, teamwork, analytical, critical thinking, and people management skills.

This role requires a candidate with a strong understanding of integrated system operations, safety regulations, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate activities across various departments effectively.
