The Mechanical Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment within the plant. Responsibilities include performing maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Comply with NOMAC safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

2. Perform maintenance activities on plant equipment in a timely and safe manner, following maintenance procedures and work instructions.

3. Document maintenance concerns and history for equipment to maintain accurate records.

4. Report to Mechanical Supervisor for spare parts and consumables required for maintenance activities and update spares availability.

5. Ensure proper isolations are carried out before starting maintenance activities, coordinating with the Mechanical Supervisor and local operator.

6. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment, and perform necessary maintenance and repairs.

7. Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair a variety of static and rotating mechanical equipment used in power and desalination plants.

8. Properly care for tools, lifting equipment, and other related devices required for assigned jobs.

9. Carry out necessary preparations for mechanical maintenance on assigned equipment/area.

10. Understand working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.

11. Perform 5S housekeeping in the work area to maintain cleanliness and organization.

12. Perform any other duties as assigned.
