Job Description
Responsibilities:
* To conduct assessment & re-assessment for all patients in the LDRP.
Determines which cases constitute a required specialist treatment to the patient as needed, facilitate quick decisions, and chooses the correct specialist for necessary additional guidance.
Upon request and examines inpatients in Obstetrics and Gynecology wards, rendering immediate judgement and treatment if necessary.
Completes all medical records and case histories promptly, indicating thereon the diagnosis and treatment given. Is responsible for the medical accuracy, completeness and confidential nature of patients' medical records.
Provides health counseling of patients as needed.
Attends professional and hospital meetings as directed by the HOD. Occasionally prepares cases for presentation at ward rounds and staff meetings.
Provides on call emergency coverage.
Participates equitably in the duty roster on a shift basis.
Demonstrate commitment to continuing medical education.
Participates in review and planning activities relevant to the development of the emergency service and the hospital.
Fulfill professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competence in all aspects of emergency medicine.
Carries out other assigned duties within the appropriate scope of knowledge, skills and abilities of the position.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an approved Medical School. Completion of an approved Obstetric residency program consistent with established standards of the hospital with specialty certification in the country of training.
Experience
At least two to 2 years of experience as a full-time Ob-Gyn practitioner Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.
Current licensure in country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai, UAE.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families.
