Technology Solution Architect - Digital Domain

Minimum Experience and Essential Knowledge

• Minimum 15 years of work experience of which minimum 10 years in the Technology Solution & Architecture Domain - Digital / BSS area Focus

• Minimum 5 years of qualified experience on the requested role of Technology / IT Solution

• Architect / Lead Designer of Digital Solutions with proven track record demonstrating

• Solution leadership and ability to define and implement complex information technology

• and/or digital transformation initiatives within the Digital Architecture Domain

• Minimum 5 years of qualified experience working in the telecommunications Industry,

• demonstrating solid understanding of Telecom Products and Telecom Business Models,

• Operating Environments and Applications across Technology, Sales, Marketing, Customer

• Care, Finance, Regulatory and Legal and Telecom BSS/OSS Information Technology and

• Software Systems

• Ability to demonstrate subject matter expert level expertise in the area of Solution

• Architecture & Design including but not limited to following areas:

• Solution Architecture and Analysis Practice

• Telecom and IT Operating Model and Processes and Applications

• Business and Information Systems Architecture and Design

• Cloud Solutions and Hybrid Integration

• Digital Domain Solution Architecture and Technologies, at least some of which include:

• UX Frameworks - Agile channel enablement, Portal, Mobile App technologies, React, Java script, Vie, Angular, Quarkus, Springboot, Content Mgmt solutions like Liferay

• Engagement Solutions - Pega, Adobe experience, Jboss EAP, BPM

• Frameworks, EDA- Confluence, Redhat AMQ, Streams, Kafka /Rabbit MQ, Identity Management & DB Technologies such as Mongo DB, Cassandra and Maria DB

• Container Platforms - Red-hot Open shift, Kubernetes

• Hyperscale Technologies - Google, Microsoft, AWS

• IT Development Tools and Processes - JIRA, Confluence, CI-CD Pipeline, GIT, ADM, Operations and Release Management

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, managerial, team work, negotiation, logical analysis,

• stakeholder and risk management skills

• Excellent oral and written communications in English is a must, Arabic is considered a plus

• Good understanding on Information Technology, IT Systems, IT Solution Design Practices to fluently liaise between Business and Technology and effectively carry out Solution Design

• Good working knowledge and preferably certifications of one or more relevant Frameworks, Standards, Models and Practices related to Telecom Industry and Role, not limited to TOGAF, ITIL, PMP/ PMI/PRINCE2, SIG SIGMA, COBIT, SCRUM, SDLC, TM Forum. IT Industrial Certifications or Post Graduation with specific focus on Practical deployments is considered a plus

• Ability to build capability on information systems design and lead teams to deliver results

• Ability to work well under pressure and to work both independently as well as with others

• Ability to work in dynamic and challenging environment and support to manage multiple parallel complex initiatives

• Ability to be structured, organized and have strong time-management skills with proven track record on delivering results

• Ability think out of the box, to Innovative and be creative thinker

• Cultural awareness and past experience working in Middle-East and/or in Qatar and

• understanding of Middle-East/Qatar market dynamics is considered a plus

Responsibilities

• Analytics stakeholders, in terms of business outcomes and business benefits expected, improving the alignment of the Project requirements with overall business and technology strategies, roadmap, priorities, capabilities and resources

• Probe for information, listen to information, influence people, facilitate consensus building,

• synthesize and translate ideas into actionable key solution capabilities expected. Identify use or purpose, constraints, risks and participate in the discovery and documentation of the customer’s business scenarios that are driving the solution

• Analyze and understand Business and Technology Strategies, Objectives and Requirements and translate them into actionable Solutions and delivery plans that are aligned across multiple delivery parties and stakeholder priorities.

• Define and analyze various Solution designs, advise about solution approach, appreciate pros and cons, Out of box Solution fitment and suggest practicable delivery options

• Contribute in review and impact analysis of the current IT Applications - Digital Domain focused & surround (BSS/OSS) environment integrations to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement, especially for alignment to architectural guidelines and long term strategies

• Own and detail Delivery decisions based on stakeholder decisions, priorities and interdependencies and maintain Business delivery decision register. Also responsible to socialize solution and delivery decisions with stakeholders.

• Communicate and present Solution details to business and technology stakeholders at various levels in the organization.

• Ensure Architecture best practices and methodologies are applied for Solution design work and participate in solution governance exercise with Architecture board, and focus on tactical fitments, technical debt/backlog and strategic alignments.

• Conduct and produce Impact Assessment and Feasibility, Cost/Benefit Analysis, Gap

• Assessments, and Solution Options, AS-IS and TO-BE Solution viewpoints, Solution Risk

• Assessment Reports etc. to support decision-making and solution implementations.

• Identify Solution building blocks and outline Impacts, and Solutions in terms of People, Platforms and Processes. Create Scope of Work definitions for specific solution work packages to streamline, simplify and to seek efficiency and operational optimizations.

• Collaborate closely with other stakeholders, Architects, Domains and solution parties and advise and align Solution Designers team to ensure compliance to Best Practices and Principle

• Support Program and Project management to plan and manage solution delivery including but not limited to business and technology stakeholders' management and risk management.

• Work closely with project and requirement & process management teams, technology and

business stakeholders to align objectives and expectations, to plan for improvements or enhancements, to identify and mitigate risks and to build workable business models.

• Oversee Digital Transformation project delivered by Vendor SI & internal teams, govern requirements gathered , processes outlined, review End-End Solution, track Requirements traceability matrix, ensure solution mapping is comprehensive and deliverables are aligned overall to meet Project objective. DevOps adoption & expansion of CI-CD footprint for SI rollout -experience will be desirable.

• Determine operational objectives by interacting with users and studying business functions; gathering information
  

• Support Architects in Tendering processes, to enable Capability Building, Technology and Solution Selections
  

• Responsible for Implementation Governance in IT Projects in the areas related to IT Applications (Digital Domain ) to make sure that the projects are executed in exactly the same way as it was designed and produce the same output that was targeted

• Manage and Govern vendor solutions, vendor contracts – technical and Boq scope, Cloud

• solutions and performance along with FinOps aspect as part of Architecture Implementations

• Analyze current business processes, work methods, application functions , operations, assets and artefacts, propose improvements and as appropriate manage/monitor implementation to expected conclusion
