Job Description
The Senior Project Officer - Strategy & Development is responsible for supporting the Strategy & Development team with the coordination of activities pertaining to the development and implementation of policies & procedures, the capturing of performance data and the creation of performance and evaluation reports.
The Senior Project Officer - Strategy & Development is also the point of contact and the liaison between departments and is responsible for advising and ensuring that policies & procedures are implemented into all programs and activities.
Responsibilities:
Acts as a focal liaising point for all functions with regard to ensuring policies and procedures are implemented across all programs and activities.
Ensures that reporting guidelines, formats and deadlines for each project are communicated clearly and standardized across the on-going projects.
Ensures that feedback on the progress of ongoing projects is provided.
Prepares meeting talking points/agenda for the Strategy & Development Director as required.
Drafts agendas, coordinates meetings and assists with documenting the minutes of meetings.
Supports the team to review progress and to discuss future steps and prepares project management reports.
Maintains crucial project documents that track project progress, files all project documents in an appropriate database and ensures that all documents are accurate and have been accepted.
Identifies any potential issues or risks that could affect the progression of the projects, communicates these concerns with Managers and works to identify potential solutions.
Provides cross-project analytics to Senior Management.
Coordinates performance and evaluation reports ensuring all policy and KPI data is in accordance with relevant legislation requirements.
Prepares regular and annual KPI performance reports and evaluation metrics.
Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, policies & processes considering 'international best practice', legislative requirements, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business Administration or other related field.
2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Must be familiar with project management best practices within the art and cultural sector.
Knowledge of project management software.
