Job Description
Join our team as a Quality Engineer and play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of quality throughout the transformer manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Champion: Develop and implement robust quality assurance procedures to guarantee transformers meet all industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Process Optimization Specialist: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, minimize waste, and reduce defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance efficiency.
Inspection & Testing Master: Conduct comprehensive inspections and testing of transformer components and finished products using advanced tools and techniques. Evaluate product quality and performance against established criteria.
Data-Driven Problem Solver: Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics, defect rates, and production performance. Leverage statistical methods to pinpoint trends, identify root causes of defects, and uncover areas for improvement.
Supplier Quality Advocate: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Establish clear quality requirements and conduct supplier audits as needed.
Documentation & Reporting Expert: Maintain meticulous records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions. Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations for management review.
Continuous Improvement Leader: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate product quality, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent them from recurring.
Training & Development Champion: Provide training and guidance to manufacturing personnel on quality control procedures, best practices, and quality standards. Foster a culture of quality and accountability within the organization.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably within the transformers manufacturing industry.
Quality Expertise: Strong understanding of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO standards).
Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and quality management software.
Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Communication & Collaboration: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Style: Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks, while also being a team player.
