Lead Surveyor, II

Role Overview:
As a Senior Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant equipment and systems. You will control and monitor processes, troubleshoot issues, and maintain safety and quality standards. Your role will contribute to achieving production targets while adhering to safety and operational protocols.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate and adjust machines or processes within design and operating parameters.

2. Analyze information and evaluate results to solve problems and choose the best solutions.

3. Monitor processes and review information to detect operating problems.

4. Identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.

5. Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects.

6. Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines, using control boards or semi-automatic equipment.

7. Control auxiliary equipment such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, and filters.

8. Start and shut down plant equipment following procedures.

9. Monitor transportation and storage of hazardous products to ensure safety guidelines are followed.

10. Record and compile operations records, test results, and gauge readings.

11. Regulate equipment during emergency situations as directed.

12. Clean, adjust, and maintain equipment.

13. Weigh or measure materials at specified intervals.

14. Ensure proper housekeeping.

15. Provide on-the-job training and coaching to less experienced peers.

16. Identify and implement initiatives to improve processes.

17. Maintain professional standards of service provision.

18. Build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

19. Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates.

20. Network and collaborate with colleagues and other teams.

Requirements:

1. High school certificate, with maths and science desirable.

2. Formal Production/Process qualification preferred (e.g., National Diploma).

3. 3 years of relevant experience.

4. Acute safety awareness and attitude.

5. Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. General understanding of the value chain.

7. Proficient knowledge of machines, tools, and equipment.

8. Advanced knowledge of policies, rules, processes, and procedures.

9. Competent in using industrial control software.

10. Ability to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.

11. Full physical mobility, including the ability to work at heights or confined spaces.

12. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

13. Ability to handle pressure and setbacks.

14. Qualified first-aid provider.

Competencies:

1. Advanced knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs.
