Job Description
A variety of administrative and secretarial duties to assist academic staff. Plans, coordinates and organizes office activities and coordinates flow of communication, correspondence and information in support of school operations. Promotes and encourages further growth and development by advocating and nurturing the school culture.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesActs as the administration point of contact for the school, greets visitors, ensures security processes are in place and followed and provides hospitality as appropriate;
Administers and coordinates student recruitment and assessment activities
Acts as personal assistant to the Headteacher including dealing with highly confidential and sensitive issues;
Handles school correspondence;
Meets schedules and time lines;
Communicates effectively both orally and in writing;
Models appropriate behavior around children
Responsible for the upkeep of the school diary
Provides the administrative support for the organisation of school trips and events
Co-coordinates content for school publications including newsletters, reports, questionnaires and liaises with external parties as necessary
All other administrative duties assigned by the line manager
Required SkillsHigher National Diploma/University Degree
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in educational/office/commercial environment
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, the community and other administrative staff
IT literate
Polite telephone manner and discretion
