Job Description
We are searching for a top-notch Electrical Technician to join our team. In this mission-critical role, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
Planned & Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks and daily visual inspections on all data center equipment, including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and building automation systems.
Daily Operations & Monitoring: Conduct daily health checks of all data center equipment, logging and maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities.
Equipment Repair & Maintenance: Perform repairs and ongoing preventive maintenance on a variety of electrical and ELV systems within the data center.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning electrical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations to resolve electrical system issues.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit summary reports on the condition of building systems and recommend necessary actions.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, including the Permit-to-Work (PTW) process.
Shift Work: Work on a rotating shift schedule (24/7) to ensure continuous data center operations.
Independent Work: Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and understanding the criticality of maintaining data center uptime.
Continuous Learning: Actively participate in training sessions and seminars to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices.
The Ideal Candidate
Diploma or ITI in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in integrated data center maintenance and operations.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
Strong knowledge of power systems, including UPS systems, control panels, switchgear, busway systems, and generators.
Basic understanding of cooling systems (HVACs, Chillers) and fire safety systems (BMS, ELV).
Working knowledge of UPS systems, associated switchgear, and distribution panels.
Experience with standby generator systems and switchgear.
Proven skills in installation, repair, and maintenance of various electrical systems and components.
Proficiency in using CAFM mobile applications for creating and closing job cards.
Personal Skills
Basic English language skills required.
Basic working knowledge of PC systems.
Self-motivated and highly organized with a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges.
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
Strong team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Diplomatic and articulate with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
