Job Title: Senior Subcontracts Engineer

Overall Role Purpose: Efficiently manage airline materials and stores functions, including pricing, purchasing, ordering, and arranging repair of aircraft rotables, consumables, and expendables. Lead a department responsible for acquiring, storing, and distributing spare parts and tooling used in aircraft and facilities maintenance for DHL Aviation and supporting Third Party Wet Lease Operators.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer - Internal:

• Ensure airline materials support for DHL AVI Airline, Wet lease Operators, and associated internal departments.

Customer – External:

• Ensure timely supply of parts and materials to prevent prolonged aircraft on-ground situations for DHL AVI Airline and Third Party Wet Lease Operators within the EEMEA region.

Stakeholder - Internal:

• Provide input for the annual budget, including Capex/investments, shipping costs, and local costs.

• Ensure adherence to accounting and financial standards and procedures.

Stakeholder – External:

• Maintain compliance with company procedures, aviation regulations, and legislations.

• Manage third-party operator's activities according to DHL standards and guidelines.

Process:

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and other airline/aviation materials departments for purchasing, repair, and shipping of aircraft parts.

• Ensure optimal operation while minimizing costs and complying with procedures and regulations.

• Oversee Airline Materials function, including purchases, repairs, warranty claims, shipping, and receiving.

• Ensure all supplies received are properly documented and meet quality standards.

People – Management:

• Determine team structure, roles, and performance targets to develop a high-performance team.

• Recruit new hires, provide staff management, development, and support.

• Develop communication channels within the team and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.

Your Profile:

• 5 years of Airline Materials/Supply Chain Management experience.

• University degree and/or relevant job experience.

• Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance Certified.

• Dangerous Goods Level 6 and 7 Certified preferred.

• Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Certificate.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Negotiation skills.

• Previous aviation experience preferred, including management experience.

• Excellent knowledge of aircraft spare parts.

• Proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP system (TRAX) preferred.

• Demonstrated Project Management experience preferred.
