Job Description
Assistant Planning Manager is a key person and is responsible for developing and executing the overall strategic plans within Demand & Supply Planning. He/She works with the Planning Manager, and ensures mutual demand plans are achieved with related stakeholders, and accordingly production and supply plans are made in order not to lead to OOS or high inventories.
Key AccountabilitiesUtilize historical data, market trends, and inputs from sales and marketing teams to ensure region (KSA) develop accurate and timely forecasts for products or services across global markets and present to line manager to identify factors that may impact demand fluctuations.
Proactively monitor and strive to maintain accuracy and process consistency in the organization’s planning efforts.
Coordinate planning activities with region (KSA) within the company.
Proactively identify opportunities for demand planning process improvement.
Monitor demand forecast accuracy and generate report of performance against forecasted targets. Liaise with line manager for performance analysis.
Work with the region to coordinate monthly demand planning cycle. Liaise with line manager to make sure the right guidance is being followed, and issues are being timely highlighted/ resolved.
Create models, procedures and databases for data reporting and assimilation after aligning with line manager.
Point of contact for region’s (KSA) sales colleagues and responsible to deliver service as well as report to line manager to review forecast accuracy.
Work on KPIs to ensure maximum accuracy and productivity.
Liaise with Planning coordinator (KSA) and update & maintain parameter of stock keeping units in ERP for new or phased out items for optimized data consolidation in planning and purchasing process.
Work closely with region’s (KSA) supply chain functions and lead the root cause analysis and action plan implementation to prevent future inventory loses.
Perform weekly detailed inventory analysis and submit to line manager.
Closely monitor inventory levels and highlight and/or coordinate with the Purchasing team in KSA for replenishments.
Coordinate with the Planning coordinator (KSA) to evaluate stock volume. Accordingly, coordinate with purchasing team for short/ excess quantity delivered by suppliers to maintain balanced stock levels.

Experience requirement:
Minimum 5 years of Demand & Supply Planning experience in Retail and ideally in FMCG industry as well
Proficient MS Office skills
Proficiency in both verbal and written English.
Familiar with ERP systems
Strong Analytical skills
Ability to work within given schedules
