Job Description
The School of Arts and Sciences at the American University in Dubai (AUD) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join their faculty as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology.
About the Position:
This is a full-time, tenure-track position. The successful candidate will play a key role in teaching undergraduate psychology courses, contributing to departmental and university initiatives, and engaging in scholarly research.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Psychology or a related field from a Western accredited university (required).
Previous teaching experience in a Western higher education system with demonstrably high ratings of teaching effectiveness (required).
Evidence of ongoing scholarly activity or strong potential for significant research contributions (required).
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (required).
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of faculty members (required).
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven record of successful teaching in undergraduate psychology courses.
Strong commitment to personal professional development and scholarship.
Willingness to participate in student advising and contribute to departmental, school, and community service.
