Associate Professor of Psychology

The School of Arts and Sciences at the American University in Dubai (AUD) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join their faculty as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology.

About the Position:

This is a full-time, tenure-track position. The successful candidate will play a key role in teaching undergraduate psychology courses, contributing to departmental and university initiatives, and engaging in scholarly research.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Psychology or a related field from a Western accredited university (required).

• Previous teaching experience in a Western higher education system with demonstrably high ratings of teaching effectiveness (required).

• Evidence of ongoing scholarly activity or strong potential for significant research contributions (required).

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (required).

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of faculty members (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven record of successful teaching in undergraduate psychology courses.

• Strong commitment to personal professional development and scholarship.

• Willingness to participate in student advising and contribute to departmental, school, and community service.
