Facade designers

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives related to facade design.

• Utilize CAD software and other design tools to develop detailed facade concepts, including elevations, sections, and material specifications.

• Generate 3D models and renderings to visualize facade designs and communicate design intent to clients and project stakeholders.

• Conduct feasibility studies and performance assessments to ensure proposed facade designs meet project requirements, building codes, and industry standards.

• Research and incorporate innovative materials, technologies, and sustainable practices into facade designs to enhance performance and aesthetics.

• Work closely with the estimating team to develop cost-effective facade solutions that meet budgetary constraints without compromising design quality.

• Present facade designs to clients through visual presentations, renderings, and technical documentation, addressing feedback and revisions as needed.

• Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials and components for facade construction, ensuring compatibility with design specifications and project requirements.

• Provide technical support and guidance to onsite construction teams during the implementation of facade designs, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.

• Stay updated on emerging trends, advancements, and best practices in facade design and construction, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve design processes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field.

2. Proven experience as a facade designer or architectural designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative facade projects.

3. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs, with the ability to create detailed drawings and 3D models.

4. Excellent design skills, with a keen eye for aesthetics, proportion, and materiality, coupled with a deep understanding of facade systems and construction methods.

5. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts and ideas to diverse audiences.

6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing ideas and insights with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

7. Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to facade design and construction in the UAE is a plus.

8. Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for innovation, with a desire to push the boundaries of traditional facade design and explore new possibilities.
