About the Role
As the Head-Inclusion, you will play a vital role in championing inclusion and ensuring all students have the opportunity to thrive. Here's what you'll do:
Leadership & Vision: Provide leadership and direction for the school's inclusion initiatives.
Expert Instruction: Serve as an exemplary classroom teacher, supporting colleagues on special educational needs (SEN) and inclusion strategies.
Collaboration & Partnerships: Liaise with internal and external professionals to create a strong support network for students.
Team Management: Lead and manage a dedicated team of inclusion specialists.
Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze student data to identify areas for targeted intervention and support.
Individualized Learning: Develop and deliver personalized programs to meet the unique needs of each student.
Professional Development: Provide training and support to colleagues and families on topics related to inclusion.
Admissions & Transitions: Participate in the admissions, evaluations, and transitions of students with special needs.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and educational regulations.
Positive School Culture: Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified teacher with a demonstrably strong commitment to inclusion.
Master's level SEN qualification or equivalent expertise.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of SEN.
Proven experience leading an SEN/Learning Support team in a primary school setting.
Expertise in implementing impactful inclusion strategies within a school environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent data analysis and record-keeping abilities.
In-depth knowledge of various SEN needs and development delays.
Experience administering standardized assessments and delivering effective intervention programs.
Proven ability to track and monitor student progress and attainment.
