Job Purpose:

To perform maintenance, repairs,

and inspections on HVAC equipment, controls and other associated systems by

applying modifications, trouble diagnosis, testing, repair, calibration, and

operation of various mechanical, electrical, and electronic controls and

equipment/apparatus used in heating, ventilation, air conditioning,

refrigeration systems, steam boilers, etc.

Duties, and Accountabilities:

1) Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or other specifications.

2) Install, maintain, and inspect refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, pneumatic and electronic control systems. Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, pumps, condensers, etc.

3) Test/measure pressure, temperature, air flow, electrical voltages, amp draws and ohm readings, refrigerant leaks, fan to motor rpm's and refrigeration compressor oil levels, lubricants to determine source of malfunction.

4) Develop, revise, and Implement inspections programs as instructed by Utility Foreman.

5) Check performance of various equipment regarding pressure, temperature, evaporations, leakage and fluid level as required.

6) Conduct corrective and preventive maintenance actions as required.

7) Ensuring safety precautions and proper mixing of chemicals and additions of lubricants.

8) Record daily status of running equipment.

9) Perform other marginal duties which may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:
