Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensures contractors’ full adherence of HSE policies and performance in line with approved ADNOC Onshore HSE policies and procedures.
Front line responsibility for contractor’s HSE performance and ensures contractors is adhering to ADNOC’s safety requirements and policy.
Attends and leads contractor’s safety meetings, Job safety analysis, safety stand downs, HAZID and various others safety related meetings.
Conducts regular site visits and audits to ensure the safety assurance program requirements are followed and implemented.
Investigates and identifies constructability issues as early as possible to attain appropriate solutions at the time of implementation. Identify in advance specific HSE critical aspects to be considered and assessed prior to implementation to ensure that the Construction work is carried out safely.
Reviews and approves Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and ensures contractor adheres to project quality plan during construction phase.
Participates in the scope of work reviews to ensure technical requirements and applicable policies and procedures are aligned in all phases of the project.
Ensures the contractors strict adherence of construction scope as per the technical specification, scope of work, quality requirements and project schedule as defined in the contract documents.
Attends regular meetings with contractors to review progress and schedule compliance. Reviews contractors report and ensures accuracy.
Ensures timely completion of construction and attaining ready for commissioning status.
Reviews and approves contractor’s Submittals (method statements, redline drawings Mechanical completion and Ready for commissioning dossiers…etc.) and ensure all submission are as per the project requirements.
Reviews in conjunction with engineering all Technical Queries submitted by the contractor.
Ensures effective coordination between different departments, PMT and contractors within the construction site to facilitate safe work progress.
Reviews materials approval requests provided by Contractor to ensure consistency with approved drawings and specifications and ensures that material received are as per project requirements and specifications.
Reviews, verifies, and recommends progress payment of invoices during various stages of the project prior to the submission to the Seniors/Department Manager for the final approvals.
Participates in technical evaluation of bids and provide construction input when required.
Participates in review of project planning package and provide inputs to the planning engineer on the area of improvement, major risks and shortfalls in the schedule.
Conducts final walk-down with end user and contractor to ensure proper handover of constructed facility and closure of open items.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
8 years of experience within Oil & Gas project construction.
