Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Training Programs:

    • Prepare training program/curriculum and assist supervisors in the preparation of training programs for U.A.E. National Developees.

  2. Safe Work System:

    • Guide developees to examine faulty equipment safely, determine scope and job requirements, mitigate identified hazards, and proceed to work site with appropriate work permits.

  3. Training Functions:

    • Train developees on carrying out jobs as per procedures mentioned in Control Procedures, including fault determination and appropriate methods of work.

    • Conduct classroom training for new and existing developees.

  4. Group Learning:

    • Instruct developees in checking and testing of running equipment and machinery as per Control Procedures, including taking correct measurements using precision instruments.

  5. On-the-Job Training:

    • Schedule developees to participate in new installations, modifications, and testing of equipment through various stages with safe procedures.

    • Ensure developees' participation in running offload and on-stream tests to assure proper operation and safety measures.

  6. English Language Training:

    • Develop and conduct General, Business, and Technical English Language courses for all company employees.

    • Coordinate the development of Annual English Training Plan based on data collected from company managers.

    • Conduct internal (in-house) English Language training programs, modify training materials as required, and conduct testing of new employees.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and assist in the development of training programs for U.A.E. National Developees.

  • Guide developees in examining faulty equipment and ensuring safe work practices.

  • Conduct classroom and on-the-job training for developees.

  • Determine hazards and mitigation measures, scheduling developees for difficult activities.

  • Instruct developees in checking and testing equipment, ensuring correct measurements.

  • Schedule developees for participation in new installations and modifications, ensuring safety.

  • Develop and conduct English Language courses for employees.

  • Coordinate the development of Annual English Training Plan.

  • Modify training materials and conduct testing of new employees.

  • Assist in interviewing and assessing English Language teaching staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

  • At least 7 years of work experience in a related field, preferably in the oil/gas or petrochemical industry, with at least 3 years in a Training function.

  • Experience in preparing training materials and familiarity with Competency Based Programs.

  • Knowledge of computer is essential.

  • Good knowledge of English; knowledge of Arabic language is preferable.
