JOB TITLE: Youth Director

RESPONSIBLE TO: Masjid DarusSalam Director of Operation

POSITION TYPE: Full-time

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience

DAYS&HOURS: 6 days a week, including weekends and evenings

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:

Masjid Darussalam is looking for an energetic individual to serve the growing Muslim

youth community in our area! The Youth Director will develop, promote and maintain a

DS Youth Program for late elementary, middle school, high school, and early college

years. He/she will lead and execute on an exciting vision to deliver a vastly impactful

youth engagement strategy.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Raised in the United States
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent Islamic education
• Experience with community organizing or community development

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job description and responsibilities of the Youth Director include, but are not limited

to the following:

• Conceiving. planning, managing, and implementing creative programs for the community's youth
• Solicit community members for successful implementation of the programs.
• Coordinate weekly halaqas
• Coordinate activities such as tournaments / youth nights
• Establish & Maintain a connection with local MSAs, Colleges and High-schools.
• Establish a friendly rapport with the center's youth through engaging and purposeful activities
