Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Operations Engineering Superintendent to ensure all refinery activities comply with YASREF's strategies and operational priorities:

  • Safety: Upholding the highest safety standards to protect personnel, equipment, and the surrounding community.

  • Occupational Health: Maintaining a healthy and hazard-free work environment for employees.

  • Environmental Conservation: Minimizing environmental impact through responsible operations and waste management.

  • Profitability: Optimizing processes to ensure efficient production and financial success.

  • Reliability: Maintaining reliable equipment operation to minimize downtime and maximize production capacity.

• Conduct technical studies to identify areas for process improvement and optimization.

• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of technical documentation and procedures related to refinery operations.

• Participate in safety inspections, testing, and reporting to ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.

• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, technical standards, and relevant regulations.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality management programs for continuous improvement.

• Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend solutions to ensure smooth and efficient refinery operations.

• Provide technical support and guidance to other operations personnel.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field (required).

• Minimum 14 years of experience in refinery operations, with a proven track record of success in a similar role (required).

• Strong understanding of refinery processes, equipment, and control systems.

• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for the oil and gas industry.

• Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Proficient in the use of relevant engineering software and tools.
