Manager, Information Services - Distributed eLibrary

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented leader to join our Library Information Services team as a Supervisor. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing daily operations, developing innovative services, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Reading Room.

• Collaborate with the team to plan and implement next-generation library services.

• Provide leadership and guidance to information services team members.

• Manage workload distribution and establish team best practices.

• Conduct performance appraisals, provide mentorship, and train team members.

• Foster a positive and team-oriented work environment.

• Manage outreach and liaison activities across the university.

• Offer research consultations, teach information literacy skills, and conduct systematic reviews.

• Identify and coordinate training and professional development opportunities for the team.

• Partner with the Director and other library managers to create and revise policies and procedures.

• Participate in long-term departmental planning and report development.

Who We Are Looking For:

• A highly motivated and results-oriented leader with a proven track record of team and department development.

• Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program or international equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in library information services, preferably in a health sciences library or related field.

• Demonstrated experience teaching information literacy, evidence-based practice, or similar content.

• Familiarity with systematic reviews, critical pathways, guideline development, data management practices, and health literacy (preferred).

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

• Prior experience with change management (preferred).
