Job Description

  • Our company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

  • As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, from the initial estimates to the final account.

  • This includes preparing and analyzing project costs, negotiating with contractors and suppliers, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget.

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, strong analytical and communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction contracts and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.

  2. Analyze project costs and provide regular reports to management.

  3. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to obtain the best prices for materials and services.

  4. Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process.

  5. Review and evaluate contractor claims and variations.

  6. Ensure compliance with construction contracts and regulations.

  7. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to optimize project costs.

  8. Provide advice and support to the project team on cost-related matters.

  9. Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related issues.

  10. Prepare and submit final accounts for completed projects.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.

  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying.

  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  5. Thorough understanding of construction contracts and regulations.

  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.

  8. Attention to detail and accuracy.

  9. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

  10. Professional certification in quantity surveying is a plus.
