Job Description
A Store Keeper is responsible for managing inventory and maintaining a well-organized storage area. They are responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse or store. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming materials, tools, equipment, and products.
Ensure that all items are properly labeled and stored in the designated areas.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks to identify discrepancies.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring that they are properly secured and labeled.
Monitor stock levels and place orders for replenishment as needed.
Assist with the organization and cleaning of the storage area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Collaborate with other departments to fulfill internal and external customer orders.
Perform regular inspections to identify any issues or maintenance needs.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and security.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Store Keeper or similar role.
Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Physical stamina to handle and move heavy items.
Proficient in MS Office and inventory management software.
