Business Tutor

We are currently recruiting a Business Tutor to join our Business team, responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in the areas of Business, Economics, and Finance. Responsibilities:

• Deliver and develop modules in Business, Economics, and Finance for Pre-Master's and Undergraduate level teaching.

• Prepare and deliver teaching sessions, including synchronous and asynchronous input, seminars, and tutorial sessions, for both Standard, Blended Delivery, and Online programs.

• Write and prepare module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment.

• Mark students' assessments and provide timely feedback.

• Develop and maintain course material for modules and teaching sessions.

• Maintain module Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) pages.

• Contribute to the delivery of induction, orientation, and registration programs.

• Track students' academic progress and implement intervention strategies as needed.

• Act as a Personal Tutor/ Learning Development tutor for groups of students.

• Participate in quality assurance procedures and contribute to course monitoring and review.

• Attend meetings with teaching and support staff to contribute to program management.

• Participate in training and development activities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.

• Carry out any other duties as required by the Academic management team or Head of Centre.

Qualifications & Training:

• Bachelor's degree in a Business related subject area with a minimum of a Master's degree.

• Relevant Teaching Qualification or in the process of achieving this (experience may be considered as an alternative).

• Fluent spoken and written English.

Experience Required:

• Experience of teaching business, economics, and econometrics modules in the UK Higher or Further education sector.

• Experience working with international students at PG level, with some UG experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to develop and update teaching material.

• Competence in teaching and administrative IT skills.

• Proficiency in teaching appropriate software (e.g., SPSS).

• Strong record-keeping skills.

• Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
