Engineer, Strategic Contracting

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Develop, negotiate, and manage all commercial agreements/contracts to mitigate risk and optimize opportunities.

• Analyse contractor performance and recommend improvements

• Analyse and identify areas for improvements and/ or saving opportunities

• Validate and resolve the assigned contractor claims to support satisfactory settlements.

• Ensure good practice and strict controls are implemented in relation to change orders, variations, claims, etc. (including the assessment of fee claims and advising on dispute resolution)

• Follow and comply with Company Controls Department procedures and suggest updates or integrations deemed beneficiary.

• Maintain good relations and facilitate exchange of information between company and contractors and internally to assure alignment of strategic objectives.

• Develop proposed contract types and perform cost analysis to support decision making.

• Comply with Lines and Limits of Authority

• Ensure the business processes and work activities, relevant to position, are executed in compliance with SASREF policy, procedures and best practice to achieve the business objectives in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.

• Conduct, update, monitor and maintain all matters related to assigned contracts and contract tendering to ensure they are procured in line with the contracting plan and strategy and awarded to a competent contractor.

• Develop negotiation strategies with full commercial analysis and employ high commercial negotiation skills for the best interest if SASREF.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Systems Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement / Contracts.

• Proven analytical, planning and problem solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal.
