Job Description
A Logistics Coordinator is an essential role that helps Company to get shipments into the respective Projects in a timely manner. Their responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of a Company’s supply chain, from preparation to transportation to delivery. An efficiently run system that maximizes profitability is a key indicator of a successful Logistics Coordinator.
Key Activities
Receive, check, and tally the shipping documents
Arrange the shipment and monitor its movement.
Conduct and prepare periodic shipping analyses on time.
Prepare daily shipment movement reports and update HQ & Project Site for shipment status.
Monitor forwarder performance activities and submit relevant reports to the Department Head.
Maintain the rate level of shipping and initiate a cost reduction process for those at the critical level.
Control and maintain records following proper procedures as per Samsung E & A standard
Complete the documentation cycle in accordance with ISO procedures/guidelines and maintain proper recordkeeping.
Identify the best shipping line, schedule, and transit time.
Preparation of P.R. and follow-up for shipping invoices.
Maintain good relationships and interaction with internal organization, and assigned transport companies to maintain the good reputation and image.
To carry out any other assignment entrusted by the Section Head.
Report any discrepancy to the Department Head for corrective action.
Requirements:
4-6 years of relevant experience in Logistics & Supply Chain, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Custom clearance experience at KSA is mandatory (Min 2 Yrs).
Any experience gained at Oil and Gas industry or Petrochemical industry is preferred.
Graduate in Business Administration / Logistics / Supply Chain or similar.
Process-oriented mindset.
Positive, proactive, independent, and transparent attitude.
