Job Description
As a Buyer Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process for our company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Your main role will be to source and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring that we get the best quality products at the most competitive prices.
You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and coordinating with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring market trends and identifying new suppliers to improve our supply chain.
The ideal candidate for this role will have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of the local market.
Responsibilities:
Identify and source potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities and negotiating contracts to ensure the best terms and conditions.
Manage the purchasing process from start to finish, including sourcing, ordering, receiving, and inventory management.
Monitor market trends and perform market research to identify new suppliers and products that can improve our supply chain.
Forecast demand and work closely with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, resolving any issues that arise and negotiating better terms and conditions.
Analyze and evaluate supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local regulations, throughout the purchasing process.
Participate in strategic planning and budgeting activities to optimize purchasing strategies and achieve cost savings.
Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions to make informed decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process.
Availability to travel between Saudi cities
Preferred Candidate:
Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a similar industry.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing software.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of local market trends and suppliers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong ethical standards and a commitment to integrity in all aspects of the job.
