The Science Department at Qalam Collegiate Academy encourages young women to understand the world through their own observations, guided inquiry, and effective application of a model-oriented mindset.

Position Description: This position will teach Middle School and High School Science (6th, 7th, 8th, BIO HON, CHEM HON)

Qualification, Skills, and Essential Functions:

• Bachelor's degree in science or related subject required. A Master's degree or teaching certification in Science is preferred.
• Essential skills and functions include but are not limited to developing and executing engaging lesson plans and creating an environment that allows students to think critically and independently.
• Experience and interest in developing innovative uses of technology in the science classroom as well as comfort with its administrative use.
• Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Commitment to being a supportive, respectful, and energetic colleague and mentor.
