Job Description

Key Activities, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  1. Electrical Maintenance:

    • Activities: Perform maintenance tasks on safety and non-safety related Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs).

    • Responsibilities:

      • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities promptly and with high quality.

      • Ensure operational readiness and maintain high safety and reliability standards.

      • Specifically, maintain Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) and Balance Of Plant (BOP) electrical equipment such as motors, generators, pumps, valves, switchgear, transformers, and UPS systems.

      • Conduct surveillance tests and inspections to verify system performance and identify any issues.

  2. Preparation and Execution:

    • Activities: Prepare for maintenance work, including procuring spare parts and special tools.

    • Responsibilities:

      • Ensure proper staging and readiness of all required resources for electrical maintenance activities.

      • Attend briefings to align tasks with maintenance standards and procedures.

      • Document maintenance activities comprehensively to maintain accurate equipment history records.

  3. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:

    • Activities: Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems and components.

    • Responsibilities:

      • Identify and resolve electrical issues promptly and accurately.

      • Ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance.

  4. Training and Qualification:

    • Activities: Provide feedback on training programs and qualifications.

    • Responsibilities:

      • Implement management expectations for maintenance conduct.

      • Evaluate training effectiveness to maintain high standards of workforce competency.

  5. Outage and Emergency Response Support:

    • Activities: Support outage activities and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) as required.

    • Responsibilities:

      • Ensure safe and reliable operation during outages and emergency situations.

      • Available for shift work or off-hours support as needed.

  6. Operational Planning and Continuous Improvement:

    • Activities: Contribute to operational planning and process improvement.

    • Responsibilities:

      • Provide input for developing work instructions to enhance productivity and efficiency.

      • Prepare accurate and timely reports to meet section requirements and standards.

  7. Compliance and Standards:

    • Activities: Adhere to health, safety, environmental, security, and quality standards.

    • Responsibilities:

      • Follow Maintenance Code of Conduct procedures rigorously.

      • Maintain adherence to regulatory and company standards to ensure plant safety and reliability.
