The Opportunity:
As a Merchandising Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing successful business strategies and programs to drive sales across assigned retail divisions within a NEX store. You'll be responsible for maximizing operational performance, merchandising strategies, and promotional programs to ensure our stores meet the needs of our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and optimize store operations, analyzing sales, inventory, and other data to ensure goals are achieved. Implement corrective actions as needed.
Develop, implement, and maximize merchandising strategies and promotional programs for your assigned store divisions.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, benchmarking against competitors to identify best practices.
Collaborate with buyers to review merchandise stock structure, develop model stock plans, and introduce new items.
Ensure optimal inventory levels and in-stock merchandise, providing feedback to buyers on product saleability and local demand.
Oversee vendor relationships to maximize their contribution to store success.
Implement effective inventory replenishment methods for your assigned departments.
Train and develop department managers and sales associates on product knowledge and job skills.
Provide supervisory oversight to store operations, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
Collaborate with NEXCOM and regional teams on business strategies and programs.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in retail, merchandising, sales operations, or a related field.
Experience in developing and implementing sales and merchandising programs.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
Proactive and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
