Job Description
As the Asset Protection/Safety Manager at the Navy Exchange, you will be responsible for managing the Asset Protection/Safety Program for an assigned location with a sales volume ranging from $76 to $125.9M. You will oversee all aspects of asset protection, safety, and loss prevention, ensuring a safe and secure environment for associates and patrons. Reporting to the District Asset Protection/Safety Manager, you will lead internal and external theft investigations, manage safety programs, conduct operational reviews, and develop strategies to minimize inventory shrink.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate Asset Protection programs, including safety and physical security functions, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage and conduct internal and external theft investigations, workplace violence incidents, and other security-related issues, ensuring adherence to investigative policies and protocols.
Serve as a collateral duty Safety Manager, administering safety programs and ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
Hire, train, develop, mentor, and supervise Asset Protection/Safety staff, ensuring adherence to loss prevention and safety policies.
Conduct operational reviews and audits, identify deficiencies, and work with store operations to implement corrective actions.
Oversee physical security programs, including CCTV, EAS, alarms, and key control systems, to enforce security measures.
Participate in fiscal year-end store inventories and report any irregularities to appropriate management.
Utilize web-based case management and POS exception reporting tools effectively to detect and resolve issues.
Participate in personal and professional development activities for Asset Protection/Safety associates.
Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, law enforcement officials, and other industry professionals.
Support all Asset Protection/Safety initiatives as assigned by the District Asset Protection/Safety Manager.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship Required.
3 years of experience in administrative, investigative, or loss prevention fields, with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
2 years of progressively responsible experience in retail loss prevention, including analytical, planning, and evaluative work.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic study preferred.
Secret DOD Security Clearance required.
