BIM Lead - Specialist Services

WSP is seeking a highly motivated and experienced BIM Specialist Team Leader to join our team. In this high-profile role, you will lead a team of experts in facade engineering, lighting design, and acoustics, playing a pivotal role in delivering groundbreaking BIM solutions for complex building projects.

What you'll do:

• Oversee a team of specialists in facade engineering, lighting design, and acoustics.

• Lead the development and implementation of innovative BIM solutions for building envelopes, considering aesthetics, performance, and sustainability.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

• Manage the BIM deployment of lighting design solutions, integrating natural and artificial light for optimal comfort and efficiency.

• Provide strategic guidance on acoustics, including noise control and sound quality optimization.

• Ensure high-quality BIM data is delivered to project partners.

• Evaluate potential supply chain partners for their BIM capabilities.

• Collaborate with project managers to define project scopes, identify risks, and develop building execution plans.

• Negotiate BIM scope with clients and ensure alignment with project goals.

• Implement and manage BIM systems and the project Common Data Environment (CDE).

• Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.

• Proactively identify and manage risks related to your area of expertise (facade engineering, lighting design, or acoustics).

• Provide regular reports to project teams and clients on BIM progress and challenges.

• Support the continuous learning and development of team members.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture (required).

• Minimum 10 years of experience in multidisciplinary BIM project management on large-scale buildings (required).

• Minimum 4 years of recent design experience in your chosen specialization (facade engineering, lighting design, or acoustics) (required).

• Proven proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and BIM360, tailored to your specialization (required).

• Experience with additional BIM tools (Solibri, BIM Track, Revizto) and Dynamo scripting (advantageous).

• Extensive knowledge of relevant standards (BS 8536, PAS 1192, ISO 19650 series) in your area of expertise (required).

• BIM certifications related to your specialization (advantageous).

• Experience with COBie implementation, 4D to 7D BIM deliverables, and LOD 350 (advantageous).

• Experience working in a multinational environment (beneficial).

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.
