MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

We are seeking qualified Medical Technologists to join our team and play a vital role in our laboratory operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of chemical, microscopic, immunological, and bacteriological tests to obtain accurate data for patient care.

• Organize daily work schedules, ensure smooth workflow within the assigned section, and collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.

• Maintain optimal levels of laboratory supplies, participate in ordering, and manage the supply inventory system.

• Assist in evaluating new technologies and procedures, and contribute to revising laboratory manuals according to established guidelines.

• Collect and process laboratory specimens, perform analyses and tests, and strictly adhere to safety protocols.

• Maintain accurate medical laboratory records as per hospital standards.

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, participate in quality control programs, and contribute to departmental quality assurance initiatives.

• Provide feedback for employee performance appraisals and participate in training and development programs for students and other healthcare personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree/Diploma in Medical Technology (required).

• For Grade 08:

  • Two (2) years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree (required).

  • OR

  • Four (4) years of related experience with an Associate Degree/Diploma (required).

• For Grade 09:

  • Four (4) years of experience as a Medical Technologist at KFSH&RC (required).

  • Average annual performance appraisal of at least 3.5 for the last four years (required).

  • Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continuing medical education (CME) (required).

• Current registration from the country of origin and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.

• Registration requirements for international applicants:

  • MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), or equivalent for American applicants.

  • ART or Medical Technologist for Canadian applicants.

  • AIMLS for British applicants.

  • AIMS for Australian applicants.

  • NZIMLT for New Zealander applicants.

  • Registered Medical Technologist for other international countries.
