Clinical Scientist/Associate Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will independently lead patient-centered research projects within a defined area of study, typically as part of a larger clinical research program. You will leverage your scientific expertise to analyze data, contribute to scientific publications, and guide the work of students and trainees.

Responsibilities

• Research Project Management: Develop and implement research projects related to diagnostic testing and involving human subjects. Ensure all projects align with departmental/programmatic goals and adhere to approved protocols, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

• Clinical Trial Execution: Oversee the execution of clinical testing and diagnostic procedures according to established protocols.

• Collaboration & Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong working relationships with clinical teams within and outside the hospital.

• Scientific Communication: Present research findings at national and international scientific conferences and participate in internal research seminars.

• Grant Acquisition: Write compelling research proposals and actively seek funding opportunities through grants.

• Mentorship & Training: Supervise students and train staff members, fostering their research skills and knowledge.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all laboratory safety regulations and hospital policies and procedures.

• Professional Development: Actively participate in ongoing education and training opportunities for yourself and others.

• Additional Duties: Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate

• Doctoral Degree (PhD, MD, DDS, or DVM) or an equivalent degree in a scientific field relevant to the research area.

• Minimum six (6) years of postdoctoral research experience in an accredited institution or medical center.

• Valid license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

• Proven track record of publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals, with a focus on first authorship and substantial technical and scientific contributions.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and independently write at least one peer-reviewed research project as a principal investigator.

• Experience presenting original research data at national or international scientific meetings.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral/written communication, and teamwork skills.
