The Islamic Center of South Carolina (Masjid Al-Salaam), was started in 2005 when just a few brothers and their families in the late 90’s decided on establishing a permanent place to pray and worship within Rock Hill. A final location near downtown was selected to be the current Mosque in 2010 and was eventually constructed in 2013 which allowed for the accommodation of the larger, growing local Muslim population of Rock Hill and surrounding areas.
