Job Description
As a Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) Field Professional Associate, you will provide on-site supervision of the LWD process, ensuring accurate data acquisition, log generation, and quality control. Working under direct supervision, you will assist in delivering services to the customer, ensuring timely and accurate data presentation while meeting the highest service quality standards. This is a field position that requires technical aptitude, effective communication, and strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site supervision of the LWD process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, and log generation.
Assist in ensuring that all data presented to the customer is accurate, timely, and meets the highest service quality standard possible.
Assist in providing technical consultation to clients on mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, and other related aspects.
Conduct testing of tools and equipment before, during, and after each job, identifying and correcting operational problems to minimize service impact.
Accurately complete all required forms, databases, and reports, including service vouchers, lost/damaged equipment reports, and End of Job Customer Survey reports.
Ensure BHA's are assembled as planned, including correct make-up torque, doping, and handling.
Interface with the Directional Driller to ensure BHA compatibility and operating parameters are within specification.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline required.
Completion of basic M/LWD training program and 3-9 months working as a Field Prof-LWD Associate.
Technical aptitude to required standards.
Good communication, arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and directional survey information.
Possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
