Job Description

JOB DUTIES STATEMENTS:
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates and conducts work area assessment, surveys, and program evaluations to determine the
presence of hazardous conditions, such as noise exposure, chemical exposure, indoor air quality, light levels,
confined space, and ventilation in paint booths, workshops etc., and assists other departments with specific
training needs by locating and scheduling either inside or outside training activities
2. Inspect all the firefighting systems (Fire pumps, FE, Sprinkler, Clean Agent System,…etc) and fire alarm
systems.
3. Investigate all incidents and accidents related to the safety.
4. Conducts or participates in periodic inspections of project sites and all required hospital facilities to assist
managers, directors and supervisors in environmental, health, and safety compliance
5. Establishes and maintains professional and effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other
departments, and external entities each of which requires cooperative efforts on both sides
6. Ensure the Safety of the Buildings such as storage, ramps, handrails, elevators, call bell,.., etc
7. Evaluate and demonstrate hazardous conditions and recommend engineering controls, administrative
controls, and/or personal protective equipment
8. Prepares various reports, including charts and graphs, to determine trends and needs for safety, health, and
environmental purposes
9. Train, Educate, and conduct drills to ensure all the staff are aware of Safety.
10. Collects, analyzes, and maintains data essential for effective safety, health, and environmental programs
11. Provides statistical data on workers’ compensation injuries and maintains complete and accurate records as required
12. Assists the Safety Manager in preparing and monitoring budget requirements and expenditures
13. Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients, as “the
patient is the center of our care”.
Other Job Functions:
1. Perform all duties and tasks in line with the Person Centered Care values.
2. Adherence to all policies, plans and programs within the Fakeeh Care.
3. Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the HCM policies
and guidelines.
JOB DESCRIPTION
4. Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one week prior to expiration.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy
management and document management systems.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
1. Knowledge of local environmental, health and safety laws
2. Knowledge of safety codes and standards, OSHA, EPA, and other required federal agencies
3. Ability to operate a variety of specialized measuring and monitoring equipment and computer based
software programs
4. Ability to work independently with a multitude of tasks
5. Safely and effectively operate tools and equipment common to the trade
6. Must have excellent problem solving skills

Qualifications:

Diploma / bachelor degree in occupational health management or related field
Experience: 0 – 2 years of experience as a safety officer
Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic
Required Licenses: Certified safety professionals preferred

Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital (DSFH) founded by Dr. Soliman Fakeeh in 1978 and has progressed to establish itself at the forefront of health care market and medical services within the private sector in Saudi Arabia with a high success rates comparable to international standards. In 1986, His Majesty, the late King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz inaugurated the first expansion of our establishment which resulted in doubling our inpatient capacity and the introduction of new divisions such as the open-heart surgery, and new clinics such as neurosurgery, neurology, nephrology and infertility clinics, which positioned DSFH as a pioneer establishment in the private healthcare sector in the Kingdom. In 1995, the DSFH virology lab was able to achieve a first-of-its-kind in the kingdom virus isolation operation for Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, and a new flavivirus in1996. These ground breaking discoveries played an instrumental role in the prevention of outbreaks in the western region of the kingdom. In 1999, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Crown-prince at the time, inaugurated the second expansion of the hospital marking two additional premises to the DSFH campus which are now hosting the pediatric clinics, neonatology, plastic surgery, and health-promotion and fitness centers. DSFH was the first private hospital in the western region to gain Joint Commission International accreditation in 2006 and has successfully been reaccredited since; the last reaccreditation was granted in 2021. DSFH was accredited by the Australian Council on Health Care Standards International in 2008 and has successfully been reaccredited since; the last reaccreditation was granted in 2016. The hospital has also been accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks since 2013 with the last accreditation received in 2016 and the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutes (CBAHI) received in 2015. In addition, Fakeeh also received the Baby Friendly accreditation under the patronage of WHO for being the only healthcare provider in KSA recognized as a Baby Friendly Hospital. The hospital has maintained the HASSP certification since 2012, successfully reaccredited in2015. DSFH a true leader in the field, whose pioneering spirit and visionary resolve has, for four decades, advanced by leaps, the healthcare delivery standards in the Kingdom and in the region and has since been recognized as a pioneering provider of medical services, accredited by both national and international accreditation bodies. Currently, DSFH has a capacity of 475 beds, 120 clinics and 15 operation theatres, which is expected to increase to 810 beds, 393 clinics and 39 operation theaters once its ongoing projects are completed. Fakeeh provides services to the adult and pediatric populations of the Kingdom (in particular, within Jeddah) and the surrounding countries in the Arabian Gulf. Our services include all types of General Surgeries, Cardio and Thoracic Surgeries, Interventional Cardiology, Internal Medicine Sub-Specialties, Medical Radiation and Surgical Oncology, Palliative Care, Dermatology, Family Medicine, Obstetrics / Gynecology, Pediatric, Dental, Chiropractic, Emergency Services, Ophthalmology, Operating Theatres, Anesthesia, Adult and Pediatric Intensive Care Units, Allergy, Immunology, Respiratory and Sleep Disorders and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. It also has the largest neonatal care unit in the Western Province of the Kingdom. DSFH is an Academic Training Hospital accredited by the Saudi Commission for Healthcare Specialties to train and qualify Board Certified Specialists in the following five disciplines: Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics and Anesthesia and Fellowship in Spine Surgery.
