Dar Al Hekma University
Dar Al-Hekma University (DAHU) is a pioneering education project of Al-Elm Foundation, which established the University with the objective of providing state-of-the-art higher education programs and facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The University's founders shared the vision of establishing a world-class non-profit institution of higher education in the city of Jeddah. The campus, which was designed to provide the best teaching and educational resources for its students, faculty, and staff, was built and equipped according to high international standards. The University admitted its first students as Dar Al-Hekma College in September 1999 and achieved the university status in 2014. Dar Al-Hekma University is committed to the furtherance and enhancement of knowledge, creativity, excellence, sustainability, integrity, fairness, intellect, and independent thinking among its students. The University's first academic programs were developed by the Texas International Education Consortium with English as the language of instruction for all degree programs. Dar Al-Hekma now offers14undergraduate degree programs and seven (7) graduate programs under three schools: The Hekma School of Business and Law, the Hekma School of Design and Architecture, and the Hekma School of Education and Sciences. The 25,000 square-meter campus includes classrooms, computer and science laboratories, faculty and administrative offices, and a library, all of which were designed in a manner to provide a sophisticated and advanced learning environment Dar Al-Hekma University is recognized as a model institution of teaching and learning. In 2010, it was amongst the first batch of universities in Saudi Arabia which earned full institutional accreditation from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA), later renewed until October 2025
