Job Description
Job Summary
The role of the TESOL adjunct instructor encompasses teaching (at the CEFR A2 to low B2 level,) as well as academic advising, professional development, and institutional/community service.
In particular, the applicant is expected to:
Prepare, teach and deliver courses following accepted higher education standards; teach students using a variety of effective methodologies and provide engagement and support activities that encourage student learning;
Actively participate and meaningfully contribute to departmental and/or college-wid committees/initiatives/projects/assignments;
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development, assessment, testing and administration;
Use the assigned learner management systems effectively and make use of (designated) educational technology tools to enhance learning;
Work actively towards continuous improvement and professional development by attending professional development sessions within the ELC and elsewhere;
Be prepared to work on different shifts and different campuses and/or any other responsibilities assigned by administration.
The applicant is also expected to
Demonstrate skill and knowledge in teaching discipline;
Review, evaluate, and recommend student textbooks and learning materials;
Develop, and use a variety of teaching materials that assist students in meeting course objectives;
Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods;
Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives;
Keep accurate student records and submit related reports and forms within requested timelines;
Uses technology effectively for educational and administrative purposes;
Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional needs.
Arabic Job Description
The applicant is expected to be native or native-like proficient in English (in both oral and written modes). S/he is required to maintain professional, ethical, and responsible interactions with students, faculty, and staff.

The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) was launched in 2010 through the Emiri Decree No.52 of 2011 and under the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to address the educational and labor market needs necessary to meet the 2030 Qatar National Vision. CCQ offers a wide range of academic and workforce programs including Associate of Arts and Associate of Science for transfer to four–year universities. The college also offers a number of Associate of Applied Arts and Applied Science degrees as well as Baccalaureate degree programs in Public Administration, Information Technology and Engineering Technology.
