Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor, Dental Hygiene

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in Dental Hygiene at the College of the North Atlantic – Qatar. The incumbent will play a key role in achieving the college's mission and vision by developing technical, academic, and occupationally-aligned courses and programs. Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction, supporting learning and research, and contributing to the overall success of the School of Health Sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum outcomes and industry requirements.

2. Deliver instruction using diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student population.

3. Contribute to faculty, course, and program meetings to enhance student success.

4. Serve as a subject matter expert through various activities, including industry engagements and community initiatives.

5. Align learning assignments within practical industry contexts and maintain course portfolio documents for accreditation purposes.

6. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance and provide timely feedback.

7. Utilize educational technologies to enhance learning experiences and prepare high-quality learning support materials.

8. Engage in scholarly and creative activities in support of Qatar's research priorities.

9. Provide substitution for colleagues when necessary to ensure continuity in student learning.

10. Oversee Teaching Assistants to ensure appropriate preparation of instructional resources and equipment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:

• PhD or Doctorate from a recognized Health or Education Graduate School.

• Master's degree in a related graduate program with a Dental Hygiene Degree or Diploma.

• Professional licensure and current registration with a recognized Dental Hygiene registry/body.

• Unrestricted license for the state/country in which the program is located.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of employment experience, including practitioner/professional and supervisory/management roles.

• Teaching experience in a post-secondary or industry training environment.

• Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Education.

• Record of participation/leadership in applied research projects.

• Experience in technology-based projects.

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of employment experience as a practitioner/professional in the relevant discipline.

Language:

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Bilingual in English and Arabic preferred.

• IELTS score of 7 and above.
