General Manager

A leading industrial production company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, specializing in the steel industry, is seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of operations, including production, quality control, supply chain management, sales, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in the steel industry, with a strong focus on driving operational excellence and achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth, increase market share, and achieve financial targets.

• Collaborate with department heads and the board of directors to set clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the organization.

• Oversee all aspects of production operations, including planning, scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.

• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and enhance productivity.

• Provide strong leadership to department heads and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

• Oversee development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and performance targets.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency improvements.

• Work closely with sales teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies and customer acquisition plans.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners.

• Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for product innovation.

• Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the company.

• Promote a positive work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Identify and assess potential risks to the business and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

• Implement robust internal controls, risk management processes, and business continuity plans.

Skills Required:

• Master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field; additional professional certifications are an advantage.

• 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the steel industry.

• Strong technical knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, technologies, and quality standards.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

• Solid understanding of financial management principles.
