Job Summary:

The IT Operations Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure, systems, and services. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, managing projects, and implementing processes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT operations staff.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback.

  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and support of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.

  • Ensure high availability and reliability of IT systems.

  • Manage IT assets and inventory.

  • Incident and Problem Management:

  • Coordinate and resolve IT incidents and problems efficiently.

  • Implement incident management processes and tools.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

  • Project Management:

  • Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.

  • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to meet project requirements.

  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improving IT operations processes.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

  • Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

  • Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.

  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Evaluate vendor performance and address issues as needed.

  • Budget and Resource Management:

  • Assist in the development and management of the IT operations budget.

  • Optimize resource allocation to meet operational needs.
