Job Description
Key responsibilities:
Manage and supervise marine logistics and daily vessel operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client standards for safe, efficient, and economical operation.
Provide operational assistance to vessels by coordinating with masters and other departments on customer requirements, crewing matters, QHSE compliance, vessel certification, condition reports, inspections, technical defect reports, and compliance with ISM and ISPS codes.
Conduct vessel inspections based on safety rules and required frequency, address deficiencies raised during inspections, and implement suitable solutions and preventive actions.
Ensure vessel certifications are current by monitoring classification and statutory requirements, overseeing timely surveys and audits, and maintaining onboard certificates such as KSA work permits and safety equipment.
Maintain pertinent documents through effective records management, including vessel certification copies, inspection records, crew records, chart corrections, and nautical publications.
Manage crewing matters to ensure vessels are adequately manned with qualified personnel for smooth operations.
Lead the assigned section by setting objectives, managing performance, developing staff, and maximizing sectional performance.
Prepare and monitor budgets, ensure operational activities align with approved guidelines, and verify and approve fleet requisitions for provisions and supplies.
Manage the effective implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to fulfill procedural and legislative requirements while delivering quality, cost-effective services.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, processes, and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of sectional reports in accordance with company requirements and quality standards.

Extensive knowledge of Ro-Ro operations
Knowledge of reefer and container operations

Effective communication skills in English and Arabic
Minimum Experience:
At least four (4) years of extensive experience as a Master on the type of vessel they are assigned to.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime
Harbour Master Certificate
Diploma in Port Management
