As a Commissioning Engineer for MW Cogeneration Plants, you will play a pivotal role in the commissioning and startup phases of our power generation projects. Working closely with the engineering, construction, and operations teams, you will ensure the safe and efficient deployment of cogeneration systems, adhering to project timelines and quality standards. what's involved?
Lead the commissioning and startup activities for MW Cogeneration Plants, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Develop detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules in coordination with project stakeholders.
Conduct pre-commissioning checks, system inspections, and functional tests to verify equipment readiness and functionality.
Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during the commissioning phase.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate the integration of cogeneration systems into existing infrastructure.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to onsite personnel during commissioning activities, ensuring proper installation, calibration, and operation of equipment.
Document commissioning activities, including test results, equipment performance data, and as-built drawings, for project records and regulatory compliance.
Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, and safety briefings to communicate project status and address any concerns or deviations from the commissioning plan.
Conduct training sessions for operations and maintenance staff on the proper operation and maintenance of cogeneration equipment.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize commissioning processes, enhance system performance, and reduce project costs.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer or similar role, with a focus on MW Cogeneration Plants.
In-depth knowledge of cogeneration technologies, including gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery systems, and associated control systems.
Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and best practices related to power plant commissioning and startup.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Proven track record of delivering commissioning projects on schedule and within budget.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
