Commercial Manager to join our core team in Qatar. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in governing the design, construction, and delivery phases of our projects, ensuring excellence and adherence to commercial standards. Your new role, what's involved?

• Implement robust cost control measures to monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate potential financial risks to optimize project profitability.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

• Monitor performance, address any issues or disputes that may arise, and ensure that contractual agreements are upheld to safeguard project interests.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks associated with design and construction activities.

• Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential disruptions and financial liabilities.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute commercial strategies that support project objectives and organizational goals.

• Provide expert advice and guidance on commercial matters to inform decision-making processes.

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate project feasibility, performance, and profitability.

• Prepare accurate forecasts, budgets, and financial reports to support strategic planning and resource allocation.

• Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance team effectiveness and performance.

Lead the commercial governance framework for design, construction, and delivery phases of projects.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, commercial standards, and regulatory requirements.

Oversee all aspects of contract management, from initial negotiations to contract closeout.

Ensure that contracts are accurately drafted, reviewed, and executed, and that all parties adhere to their obligations throughout the project lifecycle We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying with suitable contractual, legal or commercial background or equivalent

• Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) preferred

• 20 years experience

• Extensive experience in commercial management within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors, with a focus on design and construction governance

• Knowledge of FIDIC forms of contract

• Excellent written English for preparation of contract notices, letters, variation instructions, cost reports and communications

• Good negotiation skills to agree contracts and variations with third parties

• Large company & project financial control systems use & understanding

• Good attention to detail and ability to review payment applications, certifications and contracts prior to issue

• Excellent communication skills
