Architect

As an Architect at WSP for a major construction project in Riyadh, you will oversee and ensure the alignment of on-site construction activities with approved architectural designs and plans. Your role involves monitoring, coordinating, and resolving design-related issues throughout the construction process, collaborating closely with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• On-site Construction Oversight: Monitor and supervise all construction activities to ensure compliance with architectural designs and local building codes.

• Site Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to assess progress, identify issues, and ensure quality standards are met.

• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain effective communication and coordination.

• Issue Resolution: Address design-related issues promptly, consulting with the design team as necessary to find solutions.

• Quality Control: Implement and maintain measures to uphold construction quality standards.

• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed project documentation, including reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.

• Project Management Support: Generate regular reports for project managers or clients, highlighting construction status, risks, and recommended actions.

• Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve challenges to keep the project on track within budget and schedule.

• Team Leadership: Lead and supervise on-site project teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

• Support and Guidance: Provide guidance to construction team members to ensure alignment with project goals.

Candidate Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Degree educated and fully qualified Architect with a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in a supervision role in KSA or GCC.

• Previous experience as a Senior Architect with a strong understanding of post-contract supervision responsibilities, including review of contractor’s shop drawings and site inspection procedures.

• Experience in reviewing architectural designs, shop drawings, materials submissions, and method statements, ensuring adherence to concept and IFC drawings.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM.

• Experience working on commercial or residential high-rise / tall tower building projects is preferred.
