The Opportunity
In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for overseeing and managing all activities within our local Supply Chain and Logistics department. You'll play a key role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation of essential materials and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and Lead:
Provide leadership and direction to the local Supply Chain team.
Ensure clear communication of expectations, roles, and responsibilities.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Logistics Management:
Act as the focal point for local Supply Chain operations.
Oversee all transportation coordination and scheduling.
Manage load outs to ensure on-time departures.
Documentation and Compliance:
Guarantee the accuracy and timely processing of all transport paperwork, adhering to customs regulations.
Maintain logistics systems and supply chain databases.
Control and manage export documentation files as per local customs requirements.
Asset Tracking and Visibility:
Ensure effective utilization of the asset and shipment tracking system to meet logistical needs.
Cost Control and Revenue Generation:
Assist in generating and capturing revenue by effectively controlling costs within your area.
Oversee the timely processing of invoices and related documents.
Maintain a high focus on quality deliverables.
Additional Duties:
Perform various tasks assigned by the supervisor, adhering to physical job constraints.
Monitor purchase orders from receipt to material delivery at designated customer locations.
Prepare export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain open and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with colleagues across various departments.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (required).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, with demonstrable supervisory experience (required).
Strong understanding of shipping and freight forwarding principles (preferred).
Proficiency in relevant logistics systems and processes, including OTM (preferred).
Experience in the oil and gas industry (a plus).
Excellent computer literacy and strong organizational skills.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
