Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Post-Doctoral Researcher with strong technical expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) using the Python programming language, particularly with proficiency in Pytorch and Tensor Flow frameworks.
The successful candidate will join our dynamic research team in collaboration with Khalifa University and contribute to cutting-edge projects that advance AI and ML techniques in the context of rare diseases.
Additionally, knowledge or experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) would greatly benefit this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct innovative research in the field of AI and ML, with a focus on rare diseases or related areas.
• Develop novel Large Language Model (LLM) algorithms, models, and techniques within the context of rare diseases.
• Implement and experiment with AI/ML models using Python programming language, specifically Pytorch and Tensor Flow frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with a group of PhD students and research Assistants (RAs), providing technical guidance, mentoring, and supervision as needed.
• Contribute to the planning, designing, and executing of research experiments and studies related to rare diseases.
• Analyse and interpret experimental results and communicate findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals (Q1, top 15%) and presentations at top conferences.
• Assist in writing grant proposals and securing funding for research projects.
• Participate in academic and research-related activities such as seminars, workshops, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Maintain a high standard of research integrity and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of work.
Minimum Qualification
PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong background in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
Proficiency in programming languages, especially Python, and experience with Pytorch and Tensor Flow frameworks
