Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure's Data Analytics Platform. The role requires expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Apache Spark or Databricks, and Power BI. Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is preferred but not mandatory. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data processing performance to drive strategic decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reliable, and scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse.

- Leverage Apache Spark or Databricks for big data processing tasks, ensuring optimal performance.

- Develop and implement data storage solutions, data models, and database designs in Azure.

- Utilize Power BI for data visualization and reporting, providing actionable insights to business stakeholders.

- Ensure data quality and accuracy through rigorous testing and validation processes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and software developers, to meet data requirements.

- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 4 to 7 years of experience in a data engineering role.

- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Apache Spark or Databricks, and Power BI.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as data mining and segmentation techniques.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large datasets.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Data engineering certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).

- Experience with additional analytics and data management tools within the Azure ecosystem.
