Operations Duty Manager

The Opportunity:

As an Operations Duty Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing Passenger Loading Bridge (PLB) operations at the airport. You'll lead a team of OPS personnel, ensuring efficient bridge deployment and passenger safety.

What You'll Do:

• PLB Operations Management:

  • Coordinate and supervise PLB operations, allocating staff to meet daily demands, especially during peak hours.

  • Ensure adherence to airport safety and security regulations, as well as TKE's internal safety protocols.

• Team Leadership & Development:

  • Brief OPS Group Leaders on daily operations, including previous day events, new policies, and equipment updates.

  • Supervise OPS Coordinators, assisting them with daily report preparation and addressing any concerns.

  • Monitor the training of new PLB Operators, providing support and assessments.

  • Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.

• Communication & Reporting:

  • Review daily reports such as undershoots, overshoots, and operation logs before sending them to clients.

  • Gather information and report delays to affected stakeholders promptly.

  • Respond to airport emergencies and incidents involving your team, providing clear reports to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to weekly meeting topics, discussing ongoing challenges, improvement opportunities, and staff requests.

• Safety & Security:

  • Collaborate with the HSE Department to prevent workplace accidents and raise safety awareness among staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

• Extensive airport operations experience.

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
